Once again I am way behind on posting. Funny how you no longer have all that spare time with a baby around. Anyway, Maddox is almost 4 months old now and has started rolling over (from tummy to back). He rolled over for Donnie first and I thought maybe he was just falling over but he finally rolled over for me and it's definitely a roll! And he is jabbering more than ever...so cute!
We took Maddox on his first road trip over Thanksgiving weekend to visit with my Alabama family. This was the first time that any of them have seen Maddox other than pictures. It was a great trip! It was only a 4 hr drive but Maxx slept the entire way down and would have slept the entire way back had we not decided to stop in Lebanon and do a little Christmas shopping. He was such a great little traveler. Anyway, it was exciting because Maddox got to meet his Grandpa Hugh, Grandma Brenda, Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Scott and Aunt Danielle, cousins Josh and Megan and Uncle Chip. As well as great aunts Kate and Elaine. First words from the grandparents...he looks just like Donnie!!! I was really glad we were able to go...my brother Scott is a Major in the Air Force and he will be going to Afghanistan in January so I'm very thankful for being able to see him before he leaves. And I'd like to ask all of you to please keep him and his family in your prayers as he goes off to serve once again.
Today after church we decided to head to Knoxville and go to the Fantasy of Trees...it was so nice. Maddox was a great little guy today too as we walked around the very crowded paths and enjoyed all the awesome trees that were decorated. And we had a lot of photo ops so I've added those pics as well. If you've never been to the Fantasy of Trees...I highly recommend going.
